إن الشريعة الإسلامية تمثّل شريعة الفطرة، وهي ملائمة لروح العصور ومسايرة للمدنيات البشرية، وكافلة لسعادة الفرد ولخير المجتمع العام لما سُنّ في نصوصها من قواعد الحرية والمساواة والعدل.
من هنا، فإنّ مبادئ الإسلام توازن بين الروح والمادة، الآخرة والأولى، بين العبادات والمعاملات، لذلك، فإن رسالة الإسلام جاءت الخير البشرية جمعاء، لتحقيق الأمن والأمان، والسلم والسلالم، والهدوء والإستقرار.
إنّ النظم الإسلامية هي مجموعة الطرق التي يتبعها الإسلام لتنسيق حياة أتباعه بطريقة معينة تجعلهم عند الإلتزام بها متميّزين عن غيرهم ممن يخضعون لايّ نظام آخر.
ووفقاً لذلك، تتّصف هذه النظم بشمولها لكل جوانب الحياة وتتميّز بالأصالة والمرونة والواقعية وموافقتها للفطرة وإرتباطها بتحقيق المصالح الإنسانية.
ويسعى هذا الكتاب إلى إبراز الجوانب الحضارية في النظم الإسلامية وإظهار معالمها وخصائصها ومميزاتها، بهدف توضيح مفاهيم أساسية في الفكر السياسي الإسلامي المعاصر.
