صلاح ستيتية شاعر يأتي من صمت بعيد، قراءة شاعر مثله تستدعي الرجوع إلى ذلك الصمت الفاعل وتهجي المراحل التي قطعها في تجاه كلامه المليء، أي، بتعبيراته هو، صوب "الموضع الفقير"، أو المحل المتقشف الذي ينعقد فيه، في قرانهما النهائي كل من الشعر والفكر، هذين الأقنومين اللذين ارتبطت بهما قصيدته منذ البداية.
ولشعر ستيتية فضيلة الموسيقى، إن هذه "السكين المحددة القاطعة" تعمل بالدرجة الأولى سعي سيولة وشفافية عالية لـ"مرمر" الكلمات والتراكيب، وشعر كهذا يخسر الكثير عندما ينقل خارج لغته، هذا ما تعترف به لنفسها هذه الترجمة التي تقدم مختارات من شعر الشاعر.
نقرأ له... من "مقطَّعات: قصيدة"... لو... الروح تنهض... بوجهِ الروح... فَمَنْ سَينُقذ الروح من سيف الروح؟... وجوهٌ في الخارجِ / في الهندسة... الباردة... السيفُ... وطريقُهُ... إنقلابٌ للعشب... يتمدّد سيفٌ قاطعٌ بإزاءِ النّهدِ الأسود... اليدُ التي تُزْدَوَج... بِنَدى... منِ نارٍ، مِن جوع"...
