وقد عزز هذه الجهود بشكل أكبر الاهتمام الخاص الذي يحظى به أصحاب الإعاقة من مواقف إنسانية لخادم الحرمين الشرفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز حفه الله, الذي اتسمت مواقفه ورعايته بالأبوة والحنو على المواطنين بأطيفاهم كافة, ولاسيما أولئك الذين يعيشون الإعاقة, فكانت مواقفه حفظه الله متواصلة ومؤكدة فيما يتعلق بدعم المعاق ومساعدته ليحيا بيننا نموذجا حيا لتوادنا وتراحمنا كما يأمرننا بذلك ديننا الحنيف.
