هذا المؤلف هو المحصلة للتطور الكمي والنوعي الذي حصل لمجموعة محاضرات لم تكن لتتجاوز المائة والسبعين صفحة في العام الدراسي 1975-1976 بأقسامها الثلاثة: ج.اقتصاد، ج.سياسية، ج.سكانية. وفيما يلي بعض أهم ما يتميز به:
-يتناول موضوع الجغرافيا بالمنهج العلائقي، بمعنى أنه يجمع الجغرافيا الاقتصادية إلى السياسية (مع الجيوليتكا) والسكانية، إنما في وحدتها الجدلية. فالاقتصاد والسياسة كوجهي قطعة النقد الواحدة، كما أن علاقة الإنسان (المجتمع) الجدلية بالطبيعة، لتأمين عيشه وتعايشه وبالتالي وجوده، تمر عبر الاقتصاد -حيث التكنيك والتكنولوجيا. وبالتالي هناك تماسك بين أقسام الجغرافيا الثلاثة المعالجة فيه-المؤلف.
-يأخذ بالمنهج المقارن رابطاً الزمان في تسلسله التاريخي بالمكان في توزعه الجغرافي، بحيث يتجلى المرتكز النظري للموضوع في علائقيته المقارنة، إنما النقدية، ممهداً للجغرافيا التطبيقية في أبعادها الاقتصادية والسياسية والسكانية.
وهنا يبرز البعد القومي للمعالجة النظرية التي تشكل المقدمة للمعالجة التطبيقية للوحدة العربية بالاستناد إلى تركيبها التحتي -القاعدة الاقتصادية (ج.اقتصادية وج.سكانية) وتركيبها الفوقي (ج.سياسية وجيوبوليتكا) مختلف المؤسسات الحقوقية والسياسية الأدبية والفنية والدينية الخ...
-يأخذ بالبعد الأكاديمي التربوي في الاختيار الديموقراطي للمستقبل، عبر الطرح المقارن للمفاهيم والمناهج والنظريات التي تشكل في سياق تطورها تاريخ الموضوع الذي يشفهخ بالهوامش التفسيرية التي تضيء النص وتساعد على فهمه سبر أغوار المقارنة النقدية.
-يختتم الكلام بقاموس الأعلام، فيسلط الضوء الكشاف على النص، بحيث لا تعود الأسماء غريبة على القارئ، سيما الطالب، المتوجب عليه حفظ بعضها، ولو كانت غريبة مستغربة.
