يلتقي التلميذ المتعلم بعشرات المعلمين في مسيرة حياته فهو يتقمص خبراتهم، حيث أن كل معلم منهم لا بد أن يعلمه شيئاً لا يعرفه، فمن هذا ومن ذاك يجمع المتعلم الخبرات التي تتجمع فيه، فيكون قادراً على خلط تلك الخبرة بما يمارسه في البيت أو في العمل، وهذا الخلط بينهما هو الذي ينعكس عليه وعلى البيت وعلى المنهج التربوي الخاص بالتربية الاسلامية فتحقق فيه الأهداف المرسومة من قبل خبرائها. لقد كان موضوع الوحدة الأولى هو التربية الاسلامية التي هي تمهيد عام للموضوع، وخصصت الوحدة الثانية لدراسة المنهج ومحاور منهاج التربية الإسلامية ومشكلات المناهج التقليدية وتطلعات الطالب نحو منهاج المستقبل. أما الوحدة الثالثة فقد خصصت لموضوع تخطيط العملية التربوية التعليمية/ التعلمية فهناك تخطيط عام وتخطيط خاص، وتخطيط سنوي وآخر فصلي ويومي للدرس لا بد في التعريف به. أما العملية التدريسية فكانت موضوع الوحدة الرابعة فتمت من خلالها مقارنة بين التدريس والتعليم، لبيان استراتجيات كل منها وأنماطها ونظرياتها والمفهوم الاسلامي للتدريس وكفايات معلم التربية الاسلامية ومعايير اختيار طريقة التدريس. وخصصت الوحدة الخامسة لطرق التدريس فبينت مفهومها وطرائقها ونماذج لتدريس النص القرآني والحديث النبوي الشريف والعقيدة الاسلامية والفقه الاسلامي والسيرة النبوية دون الخوض في الأساليب التي تتفرع عن تلك الطرق والنكباب على الطرق التي تؤدي إلى الأساليب. أما الوحدة السادسة فقد خصصت لموضوع التقويم والذي بيّن فيه المؤلف مفهومه العام وأنواع الاختبارات في التربية الاسلامية.
