جاء هذا الكتاب عملاً جماعياً في العقيدة الإسلامية، شمل معظم ما يحتاج المسلم إلى معرفته من أمور، فهو عمل متقدم قليلاً ليس بدراسة أولية شارك في مناقشته أكثر من عشرين شخصاً كان لهم الباع الأكبر في بلورة أفكاره، قدم موضوع منه أحد الباحثين وناقشه الآخرون مناقشة صادق عليها الجميع فنزل الموضوع إلى الطبع بعد أن أشبع مناقشة وتفنيداً وإعتقاداً حتى صار موضوعاً خاصاً بالجميع، متخذين من رأي الأشاعرة منطلقاً إلا أنه ناقش وفند آراء الفرق الإسلامية الأخرى، وطرح آراءهم فصار الكتاب مجموع آراء الفرق الإسلامية مختصراً لكتب العقيدة الطويلة الكبيرة، وهو على ما أرى صالح للقراءة ومطابق للمعتقد إن شاء الله تعالى.
وقد عولت على ذكر اسم الباحث الذي ناقش الموضوع تحت عنوان البحث لحفظ حقه، إلا أنه يجب أن يعلم أن الباحثين الآخرين قد ناقشوا هذا الموضوع مناقشة وافية وأبدوا رأيهم فيها بحيث ضم البحث آراءهم جميعاً، لذا فهو يمثل كل الباحثين، ولذلك جاءت جماعية العمل ومصادقة الجميع عليه وهو ما يجعل الموضوع موثوقاً قابلاً للإعتقاد.
لقد قسمت عملي هنا إلى عشرة فصول في كل فصل منها تفصيل الكثير من القضايا الإعتقادية جاء فيها: الفصل الأول: علم العقيدة، وقد تضمن تعريفاً بعلم العقيدة لغة كما بين أسماء العقيدة والمستخدمين لهذه الأسماء، ثم تضمن الموضوع تعريفاً إصطلاحياً للعقيدة، ثم بين أهمية علم العقيدة، ثم استعرض البحث بعض الألفاظ التي يحتاج إليها.
الفصل الثاني: في هذا الفصل تناولت أهم نقطة في العقيدة الإسلامية، ألا وهي وجود الله تعالى، وقد تناولت فيها نقطتين مهمتين هما إثبات الصانع عند الحكماء، وبرهان أبطال الدول وأبطال التسلسل ثم إثبات الصانع عند المتكلمين والمتضمنة الإستدلال بحدوث الأعراض والإستدلال بامكان الأعراض.
الفصل الثالث: ثم تناولنا الصفات السلبية لله تعالى ومنها صفة القدم لله تعالى ثم صفة البقاء عند المتكلمين والأدلة العقلية لإثبات صفة البقاء.
