اقتصر هذا الكتاب على وحدات معينة تخدم الأساليب التدريسية ومناهجها ومنها : 1- وحدة المناهج: فمناهج التربية الاسلامية هي التي تصوغ الفرد المسلم والأسرة المسلمة والمجتمع المسلم وفق مبادئ الاسلام العظيم، ونحن نحتاج إلى معالجة مشاكل المنهاج في ميدان صياغتها وتطويرها على أسس منسجمة مع عقيدتنا وحضارتنا وقيمنا الاسلامية. 2- وحيث أن العالم المعرفي يسير سيراً انفجارياً في الوقت لاحاضر فكان لا بد من تناول مشكلة المنهج المستقبلي واستشرافه ضمن رؤية واضحة للاعلام الاسلامي والاتصالات التربوية المعاصرة وما بين العولمة التي لها موقف واضح من التربية فجمعتها جميعاً في وحدة تعقب دراسة المنهج لتكون متكاملة معه ولتشكل حلقة متواصلة، منهج الأمس التقليدي، ومنهج اليوم المعاصر، والمنهج المستقبلي. 3- أما المحتوى فهو الجزء الأهم من المنهاج، ولا توجد دراسة دون أن يكون لها محتوى، فقد تناولناه بدراسة في وحدة تخصصت بمحتوى التربية الاسلامية. 4- وقبل الوصول إلى الأساليب و تدريسها، فإن هنالك كفايات لا بد وأن تتوافر في المنهاج وفي المحتوى وفي المعلم والمتعلم، لذلك خصصنا الوحدة الرابعة لعرض مادة الكفايات التعليمية. 5- ثم بعدها في الأساليب "موضوع الكتاب" فهناك أساليب اسلامية تقليدية بطبيعة الحال وأساليب حديثة يمكن للتربية الاسلامية أن تمارسها وتأخذ بها، وقد أشرنا إليها، فكان لا بد من تصنيف الأساليب حسب المجاميع والمنهج. 6- وفي النهاية تم تهيأة نماذج تدريسية كأنموذج لكل أسلوب من الأساليب أو قريب منه.
