وفي هذا الكتاب يعرض المؤلفان لموضوع التربية الجمالية حيث تناولا تعريف علم الجمال ونظريات علم الجمال ودور الجمال في الإبداع الفني والعوامل المساعدة على التذوق الفني كما بينا موضوع علم الجمال وبحوثه وموقعه بين العلوم. وقد توصلا إلى أن الفن في مختلف عصوره كان تجربة جمالية تقترب وتتماثل مع التجربة الدينية والأخلاقية.
كما بحث المؤلفان في مناهج التربية الجمالية وعرضا لاتجاهات الباحثين في معالجة هذا الموضوع وقدما بشكل مفصل عرضاً لطرق البحث التجريبي الذي يعتمد على الاستبيان والملاحظة الخارجية والمقابلة الشخصية والاختبار والتجريب والمنهج الإحصائي في علم الجمال إضافة إلى الاختبارات النفسية في الإبداع الجمالي.
