إن بحث علة الوجود من المطالب الفلسفية العالية والتي اهتم بها الفلاسفة والعرفاء وأولوها درجة عالية من البحث والتدقيق على مر التاريخ. وقد قاموا بإرجاع هذا القانون إلى عالم الظهورات والتجليات أو كما يعبر عنه بعالم التشؤن بهدف حل بعض المستعصيات العقلية والتي منها فهم المراتب التشكيكية لحقيقة الوجود، وجعله من المباني الأساسية لنظرية وحدة الوجود.
وعلى ضوء النظرة المتقدمة في المعرفة الإنسانية لقانون العلية أصبحت هناك آثار علمية وعملية نابعة من تلك النظرة الذوقية من شأنها تغيير نظرة الباحث إلى عالم الوجود وكيفية تعاطيه العملي معه.
هذا ما سيتعرض له البحث الذي بين يدينا في طياته ويكشف عنه بشكل أوضح حيث تحدث الفصل الأول عن بعض أحكام الوجود العامة ويشمل مباحث من بداهة مفهوم الوجود واشتراكه المعنوي وأصالة حقيقة الوجود ومن ثم البحث في الوحدة التشكيكية لحقيقة الوجود في قبال بعض الأقوال من قبيل الكثرة التباينية لحقيقة الوجود عند المشائين.
والفصل الثاني في العلية والمعلولية ويشمل مباحث تفسير معنى العلية وملاك احتياج المعلول إلى العلة، وتحقيق الحال في طبيعة الإمكان الذي هو ملاك احتياج وهو الإمكان الفقري، وفي النهاية يبحث في رجوع هذه العلية والمعلولية إلى التشأن والظهور كما يقول به العارف الواصل، ويبحث في تفصيلات هذا الظهور والتشأن لحقيقة الوجود. في الخاتمة يبحث في مراتب الوجود والظهور لدى العارف الكامل الإمام الخميني.
