ويقدم هذا الكتاب إسهاماً آخر يتمثل في الدعوة إلى تأصيل الخدمة الاجتماعية وتوطينها، مقابل عدم الاعتماد على النموذج الغربي، الذي يفشل في طرح بعض القضايا ومعالجتها في مجتمعنا العربي، على الرغم من نجاح هذا النموذج في إثراء المعارف النظرية والمهارات المهنية إذ تختلف الثقافة الغربية عن الثقافة العربية الاسلامية في كثير من المناحي والأبعاد.
