في هذا الكتاب يسلط الدكتور "حسين سرمك حسن" الأضواء على أدب الأدبية العراقية الخضرمة "ميسلون هادي" التي قدمت الكثير من الأقراط والأساور والقلائد القصصية في عالم الأدب القصصي العراقي منذ صدور مجموعتها القصصية الأولى "الشخص الثالث" في عام 1985 متمسكة بالرؤية التي حددتها بدقة ووضوح، حيث تقول القاصة "ميسلون هادي": "أنا لا أكتب قصصاً واقعية، اكتب في النقطة المشتركة بين منطقة الواقع ومنطقة الخيال".
وقد تميز قصص "ميسلون هادي" بسمة خاصة نمت وتصاعدت مع تطور فنها، وظلت مسيطرة على أجوائها القصصية حتى الآن، ألا وهي سمّة سيادة منافات الموت والخراب ودوافع الإنسان والعدوانية.
وقد عرضت المؤلفة هذه السمة من خلال وقائع و(حكايا) يومية بسيطة، فقصصها، هي قصصنا... وأبطالها هم نحن تحديداً... نرى فيهم ملامحنا وهوياتنا وأقدارنا البائسة... موظفون وربّات بيوت وأطفال وأرامل... وكثيراً ما تكون الحافلة أو غرف البيت مسرحاً لوقائع قصصها، ومن اليومي المعاشي والعادي تصنع القاصة نسيج رؤياها المركزية.
وقطعاً فإنّ الصعود ممّا هو بسيط ومألوف في مسارات الحياة وجعله أغطية لطرح أعقد معضلاتها يتطلب براعة فائقة وتمكناً محكماً من أدوات فن القصّ، ولأن بعض السمات التي حددتها عن فن ميسلون القصصي كونها حكّاءة وذات أسلوب مباشر ولغة بسيطة شفافة، هو الذي جعل قليلاً جداً من النقاد لا يمنحونها إهتماماً مركزاً عبر دراسات طويلة خاصة بها.
لذا قام الأستاذ "حسين سرمك" بتناول أدب القاصة المتميزة وعمل على تحليل أعمالها الأدبية حيث تضمن الفصل الأول: "تغريبة (ناجي عبد السلام) العجيبة، وما جرى له من الأمور الرهيبة"، أما الفصل الثاني: فجاء الحديث فيه "يمامة عصر المحنة"، أما الفصل الثالث: فجزء الحديث فيه عن "كومبارس الخيانة"...
