تطمح هذه الدراسة إلى إكتشاف طبيعة العلاقة بين الخاص والعام، الداخل والخارج، الذاتي والموضوعي، الضروري، والحر، تجربة الحياة وتجربة الشعر، ذات الشاعر وذات الشعر، في شعر الحداثة العربيّة، وذلك بهدف الوقوف على مدى تفاعلهما في إنتاجيّة نص الحداثة الشعري، وإسهام كل منهما في تشكيل هويّته الشعرية، ومن ثم، الوقوف على مدى توافر نص الحداثة الشعري على أهم مقومات إنتاجه مجتمعياً وتاريخياً، أي على أهم شروط إبداعه وشروط قراءته.
هذا وقد انطلقنا في بحثنا عن الذات الشاعرة في هذا الإنتاج أو في هذه النصوص من ثلاثة أسئلة رئيسة هي:
1-ماذا تقول هذه الذات في التجربة متضمناً كيف تقول؟...
2-لماذا تقول هذه الذات في التجربة هذا (العالم) الذي تقول دون غيره مما لم تقل؟...
3-كيف تقول الذات العالم الذي تقول متضمناً: ما الزاوية التي تنظر منها الذات إلى العالم؟ وكيف تنظر الذات من تلك الزاوية إلى العالم؟!...
وقد حاولنا الإجابة عن أسئلة البحث هذه في أربعة أبواب رئيسة، تضمن الباب الأول إجابة عن السؤال الأول وشطراً من السؤال الثاني، هو الشطر المتعلق بوظيفة القول الشعري الحداثي، وتضمّن الباب الثاني إجابة عن الشطر الثاني من السؤال الثاني، وهو الشطر المتعلق بخلفيّة القول: الفكرية والتاريخية في حين ركّزنا البابين الثالث والرابع في محاولة الإجابة عن السؤال الثالث المتعلق بفنية القول أو بإبداعية الرؤيا.
