إن ما يهدف إليه الباحث في هذا البحث هو محاولة إعادة النظر في مفهومي: الخطاب والنص، وما تنشأ بينهما من علاقات، ويتمخض عنهما من سلطات، انطلاقاً مما يكوناه، وتكونه علاقتهما بعضهما ببعض، والسلطة التي يجسدانه، في هذا الموروث، فإن السؤال الذي علينا طرحه في هذا السياق على هذا الموروث:
فما الخطاب إذن؟ وما النص في هذا الموروث؟ وما مقومات النصية؟ وما مقومات الخطابية؟ أو بالأحرى، ما الذي به يكون الخطاب خطاباً في هذا الموروث؟ وما الذي به يكون النص نصاً. وما الفرق بين الاثنين؟ وهل لكل منهما ماهية مستقلة عن ماهية الآخر؟ وكيف تتحقق؟ أم أن الأمر لا يعدو أن يكون مجرد تسمية مختلفة لمسمى واحد، بعض الباحثين أطلق عليه مصطلح خطاب، وبعضهم الآخر فضل أن يطلق عليه مصطلح نص؟ وهنا لا يغدو للبحث أو للحديث عن أي منهما بمعزل عن الآخر من معنى، ولا تعود له أية فائدة، كونه قد بات يتعلق بأمر محسومة نتائجه سلفاً.
وفي محور خاص، فإن الباحث قد تساءل عن طبيعة السلطة التي يجسدها، أو يعبر عنها، أو يمارسها كل من النص والخطاب: من أين يستمدان هذه السلطة؟ وكيف يمارسانها؟!
وقد جاءت محاولة الباحث الإجابة عن هذه التساؤلات وتساؤلات أخرى سواها، في ثلاثة محاور رئيسه، تناول في المحور الأول: قضايا المفهوم (مفهوم الخطاب ومفهوم النص). وتناول في المحور الثاني: قضايا العلاقة بين المفهومين، وتناول في المحور الثالث: قضايا السلطة التي يمثلها كل منهما.
