خاصة في دائرة الفكر الإسلامي فكان أن بدأنا بالإمكان المعرفي العام في الفلسفة الإسلامية ثم الإمكان المعرفي في دائرة التصوف الإسلامي ثم تقديم إعادة تقويم نقدية تقدم فحصاً للإمكان المنطقي لوجود معرفة صوفية وما تقدمه من إيضاح لتجربة إنسانية دينية ثرية في حدود الإسلام ديناً ورؤية مع الحفاظ على الإنفتاح الفلسفي للحجاج العقلي في إطار الفكر الإنساني وما يقدمه من خدمات تخلصنا من منزلقين، المنزل الأول الذي نطمح أن نكون بعيدين عنه هو الحنق الأديولوجي للذين يعدون العرفان الصوفي أكذوبة، والمنزلق الثاني الذي ابتعدنا عنه هو لغة الإحتفال الكهنوتي بالتصوف الذي لا يميز بين الصواب والخطأ.
إن هذا الكتاب محاولة أكاديمية نقدية تعتمد التحليل ومقاربة العلم في دراسة التجربة الصوفية ضمن معرفيات الفكر الفلسفي الإسلامي، ويستند منهجياً إلى وحدة بنية الفكر الإسلامي هذه الوحدة التي تظهر جلية في عقيدة ومبدأ التوحيد الذي يتحكم بكل الإجتهاد الفلسفي للمفكرين المسلمين.
وليس التصوف بالرغم من كل المخاصمات إلا جزء من تلك المسارات التي علمت على تكريس هذا المبدأ الذي يشكل الأساس ونقطة البدء لكل تفكير فلسفي إسلامي.
