يشهد عالم اليوم اهتماماً متزايداً بالإعلام ووسائله، وإيماناً صادقاً برسالته ووظائفه، وعملاً جاداً في سبيل تقدمه وتطوره، وبحثاً دائباً عن تنظيمات يعود إليها، وقواعد تحكمه، وينطلق هذا الكتاب نحو تأسيس دعائم علم الأعلام اللغوي لأول مرة في لغتنا العربية من أن ما حدث من تطور مذهل في ميدان الإعلام ما هو إلا امتداد للانتصارات التي حققتها اللغة في ظل الإعلام ذات قوة وسلطان، لما لها من تأثير هائل على تفكير الأفراد والجماعات أو على شعورهم وسلوكهم وآرائهم.
وقد حاولت فصول هذا البحث في عنايتها بتأصيل علم الإعلام اللغوي، أن تؤكد على صلة اللغة العربية بالعصر والحضارة، ولذلك تعرضت لبعض القضايا اللغوية التي تواجه الإعلام العربي المعاصر. وهي بذلك تسير نحو منحى جديد من أنحاء الدراسة اللغوية يريد بها المؤلف أن يشق له طريقه أولاً ثم يؤصل هذا الطريق بعد، في سبيل استكمال دراسة لغة الإعلام العربي المعاصر والإحاطة بها، والوقوف عند جزيئاتها وكلياتها.
وعلى ذلك فإن مهمة هذا البحث هي الكشف عن مزايا لفن والتعبير الإعلامي ومزايا التعبير على العموم في لغة الضاد، لأنه في مبدأ الأمر بحوث دعت إلهيا المناقشة في موضوع الإعلام وتطوره أو تطور قواعده ونظرياته ومستقبله في العالم العربي، وناسبته بحوث أخرى عن المزايا الإعلامية في لغتنا ترتبط بها، وتصلح أن تكون مثالاً للمزايا التي تثبت للغة.
