ونحن نجث الخطى إيغالاً في الألفية الجديدة، نحاول اختراق المرايا، وللمرايا حلم الطفولة في أن تخطئ فيدخل من يجعلها تخطئ عالماً خالياً من البشر، ليس فيه إلا كل ما هو موجود في حياتنا اليومية، مضنوع بلا صناع، ومرتب ومنضود بلا أيد وراءه، لكن المرآة لا تخطيء فهي ساحرة تتبع نبض ما يقابلها، كذلك هو النص ليس إلا روح متوثبة تظهر ما يتراصف معها من نصوص الحياة، نرى إلى تلك النصوص ونحن نتابع حركتها عن قرب، وهو ما يثير اهتماماً خاصاً ببعض النصوص المحلية والعربية، وإن كانت النصوص المحلية المنتجة للمبدعين البحرينيين قد أخذت مساحة كبيرة بالنسبة لغيرها، فهذا لا يعني أبداً أننا نغفل نصوص المبدعين العرب، ولكن أحببنا أن نتابع الساحة المحلية لعلنا نشعل مصباحاً يضيء على قدره في شرفتنا الخلفية.
