ما أقسى حياة أجدادنا وأجداد أجدادنا ومن سبقوهم وهم يحتاجون إلى أيام وأحياناً إلى أشهر لينتقلوا من بلد إلى بلد, بما يرافق ذلك من مشقة وعطش وجوع في غالب الأحيان في صحار قاحلة يؤدي إلى زهق كثير من الأنفس.
وكانت وسائل النقل بداية الجمال والخيول والدواب والسفن الشراعية, ثم تطورت قليلاً إلى عربات تجرّها الخيول, ثم اخترع القطار البخاري, ثم السيارة, ثم الطائرة, وتطورت السيارة كما القطار الذي أضحى سريعاً, كما السفن الشراعية التي أصبحت مدناً عائمة تسير بالطاقة.
كل هذا بالتأكيد قرّب المسافات بين الدول والبلدان, وسهل كثيراً عملية التنقل بحيث صار المرء ينتقل من بلد إلى بلد بدقائق أو بساعات, ومن قارة إلى قارة بيوم أو بيومين.
ولانعكاس هذه الوسائل على حياة الإنسان, وتأثيرها عليه, لحاجته أن يستغني عن أي وسيلة من هذه الوسائل بل لاستحالة ذلك, كان لا بد للشرع الإسلامي من إيضاح الأحكام الشرعية التي تتعلق باستعمال هذه الوسائل كمسألة التقصير أو عدمه في الصلاة, والصيام والإفطار, والحج والإحرام, والأحكام الشرعية في التعامل مع هذه الوسائل من شراء تذاكر السفر والحسومات والأطعمة التي تقدم على بعض هذه الوسائل, وكثير من الأحكام المتعلقة بهذه الأمور.
كل هذه الأحكام أظهرها محمد صادق محمد الكرباسي في هذا الكرّاس الذي بين يديك وقام بالتعليق عليها الشيخ حسن رضا الغديري.
