قاص وروائي مصري من مواليد الأقصر٬ مصر٬عام 1967. يعمل محررا لمجلة الثقافة الجديدة. فاز بالجائزة الأولى في مسابقة صحافية (أخبار الأدب) للقصة القصيرة٬ على مستوى الوطن العربي٬ عن قصة "عجلات عربة الكارو الأربعة". صدر له ثلاث مجموعات قصصية وروايتان: "الصنم" (1999) و"منافي الرب" (2013) وقد ترشحت منافى الرب لجائزة البوكر و ايضا صدرت له رواية "إنحراف حاد"

عندما غرقت السفينة الضخمة “نوح” على شواطئ الجزيرة المتحركة “بوسا”، لم يجد الأمير “تيمور” والبحّار “مدكور” من حل سوى احتلال الجزيرة وقيادتها للعودة إلى السلطان “برقوق”. وهذا ما حصل! بيد أن السلطان عيّن “تيمور” أميرا على هذه الجزيرة وكلفه بغزو العالم على الرغم من أنه مجرد ناسخ للكتب! في حين أن “ملاك البحور” كان يجلس أسفل فنار “الإسكندرية” يراقب الجزيرة “بوسا” الراسية تسد الآفاق كالظلام، وجهه منبسط ببسمته البلهاء بينما قلبه يعاني الحزن منذ مصرع زوجته “سمكيانو”، حبيبة فؤاده، إثر اعتداء من سكان هذه الجزيرة على قصره الكائن في أعماق المحيط الكبير، بسبب رغبتهم في الحصول على أكبر قدر من الشعاب المرجانية، التي يستخدمونها في إنتاج “الاستيضاء” الذي يضيئون به مدينتهم. كيف يمكن أن تمر جريمة مقتل زوجة ابن إله البحار دون عقاب مرعب ورادع؟!
