نعلم ذلك من إستشهاده ببعض ما نقلُه عن الكنْدِي، ونصر الجوهريّ، الفارسيّ، وأبي الرَيْحان البيْروتي، وابن زُهْر، والغافقي، وغيرهم؛ لا بل نراهُ يذكر مصطلحاتٍ للجوهريين، لم يذكرها سواهُ، لأنهُ زاد على ما سبقهُ، ما سمعهُ في زمانِه، بُعَيْد عهد العباسيين، إذ استحَدثت أوضاع جديدة مع توالي الزمن.
ولهذا عُني المحقق بطبعهِ وإخراجهِ بحلة قشيبة، للباحثين في علم الجواهر والحجارة النفيسة، وليرى أهل عصرنا، أن الأقدمين مِنّا كانوا واقفين على أسرار هذهِ اللغة البديعة، وأن مصطلحات أبناء الألسنة الأخْرى الحيَّة، والمعروفة في عصرنا هذا، لا تجاريها في ما وضعهُ الناطقون بالضاد، منذ عصر العباسيين إلى عهد المؤلف.
