بعد أن صنفت كتابين عن المسلمين العلويين - العلويون في التاريخ حقائق وأباطيل - ومعجم اعلام العلويين - عقدت العزم على تصنيف كتاب عن تاريخ العلويين من حيث بدء تشكل الشعبة الخصيبة منطلقة من أحضان الفرقة الإمامية - أي تاريخ إنتشار الفكر الخصيبي وصولاً إلى تاريخ العلويين في بقية بقاع العالم الإسلامي.
وكان هذا المختصر الذي قد يقدم بعضاً من رغبتي في تاريخ فترة زمنية مرت على بقعة من وطني لفئة أحبها وأحترمها ولن أقول أني أصبت كبد الحقيقة لكنني وضعت لبنة حقيقية في جدار الحقيقة.
اتخذت من معلوماتي المؤيدة بوثائق خاصة لم تنشر مصدراً مهماً في كتابي هذا واقتصرت في هذا المختصر على تاريخ منطقة جبال العلويين والساحل السوري بشكل خاص، وخلال الفترة التي توضعوا فيها فقط.
