لقد تم اختيار المفردات العربية بعناية فائقة، وكان هاجسنا أن نضع بين يدي الطالب والمثقف قاموساً يفي بكل المتطلبات، فلم نوفر أي جهد من أجل بلوغ هذه الغاية.
لقد أوردنا أكثر ما يمكن من المفردات العربية بدقة بالغة، ولكن من غير أن نساوم على مكان تلك التي تتطلب بعض الشرح أو التي تكون ذات معان عديدة.
لا ريب أن من يستخدم هذا القاموس سيلاحظ أن المقابلات الفرنسية للكلمة العربية جاءت غنية بالمرادفات، وهذا ما سيساعده كثيراً في عمله ودرسه.
وحرصا على أن تكون استفادة الطلاب والمثقفين من هذا القاموس على أوسع نطاق، فقد أضفنا إليه ملحقاً بجداول تصريف الأفعال.
