ومن أولئك العظماء الإمام الحسين (رضي الله عنه) الذي يتناول مؤلف دائرة المعارف الحسينية الكبرى الشيخ محمد صادق محمد الكرباسي جانبا من جوانب حضوره واستمراره وبقائه وخلوده، وخلود ذكراه وذكرى نهضته المباركة، ألا وهو جانب (المشاريع الحسينية).
فالمرء لا يلتفت في كثير من الأحيان إلى كثير من الأمور في حياته، أو لا يعرف مغزاها وقيمتها، أو كيفية نشوئها، ومن وراء ذلك، بالرغم من أنه قد يكون على تماس معها في معظم أيامه وأوقاته، وهذا ينطبق على موضوع هذا الجزء، وهو (المشاريع الحسينية)، فإن كان الكثير منا يعرف ما تعني (المشاريع الحسينية) إلا أنه لا يعرف أنواعها وألوانها، وكمها، ومدى انتشارها، ومن يقف وراء إنشائها وتأسيسها، ومن أين كان انطلاقها، وحجم تأثيرها وفعلها في المجتمع.
ومن هذا المنطلق انطلق المؤلف في موضوعه هذا في هذا الجزء (معجم المشاريع الحسينية)، فقام في التمهيد بشرح مصطلح (المشاريع الحسينية) أولاً ليدخل منه إلى تعداد هذه المشاريع وتفسيرها للقارىء أو الباحث، ثم يعرض لكل العناوين الرئيسة في مقابل المشاريع الحسينية في مختلف الأقطار باختصار، على أمل أن يخوض في تفاصيلها في فصول خاصة بها، مع الإشارة إلى الهدف من وراء ذكر هذا الباب. ثم يتناول سماحته عوامل التأسيس وتاريخ وجغرافية التأسيس، وينتقل بعد ذلك ليستعرض في فصل خاص النشأة الإسلامية للتاريخ والجغرافيا منذ القرن الأول الهجري وإلى يومنا هذا، ليختم هذا الجزء بنشأة الإسلام في كل من آذربايجان، وأثيوبيا، والأرجنتين، والأردن، وأرمينيا، متحدثا بالتفصيل عن تاريخ كل دولة، وموقعها الجغرافي، ثم يتناول بالتفصيل أيضا عدد المسلمين في هذا البلد، وكيفية وصول الإسلام إليه، وأوضاع المسلمين هناك، وأهم المعالم الإسلامية في هذا البلد ثم يعرج على أتباع مدرسة أهل البيت (رضي الله عنهم) الذين هم في الغالب وراء هذه المنشآت الحسينية.
