"بياع السمسمية" قصة واقعية جميلة مستقاة من واقع حياة الغجر، يتعرف القارئ الصغير من خلالها على بعض عاداتهم وتقاليدهم وأساليبهم في العيش. وقد رويت بأسلوب قصصي مشوّق، وقد تعمد الكاتب تضمينها بعض المفردات الهامة التي تدعم قاموس الناشئ وتنمي قدرته التعبيرية. وقد ألحقت القصة بقاموس لتفسير المفردات الجديدة وببعض الأسئلة الهادفة حول القصة.
طفلة يخطفها الغجر، فيسود الحداد والأسى بيت أبيها. وبعد سنوات طوال ترجع الفتاة إلى البيت، وترجع معها إليه الحياة.. كيف؟..
