مجبولة تربة هذه الأ رض بدماء الشهداء النازفة منذ حوالي الثلاثة الآف سنة ، ومبارك جبل عامل الذي حمى الصحابي الجليل أبا ذر الغفاري فدعى له : "جبل عامل ما قصدك غازٍ بسوء إلا قصم الله ظهره"
ثارت صور على شلمنصر الخامس الأشوري ومات عام 722 ق/ م بحسرة فشله بإخماد ثورتها.
وفشل أسرحدون باخضاع صورعام 671 ق/ م ، بعد احتلاله صيدا التي أحرقت نفسها وما استسلمت.
وصمدت صور بمواجهة الأسكندر المقدوني المقدوني ستة أشهر سنة 333 ق/ م .
وكانت البحرية الصورية أسطول الدولة الإسلامية بمواجهة البيزنطيين . وفي العهد الفاطمي ساءت الأحوال الاقتصادبية والاجتماعية في صور، فانتفض الصوريّون تحت قيادة البحار علاقة، فطرد الحامية الفاطمية من المدينة، واستقل بها وانشأ حكمًا وطنيًا، وصك النقود المعدنية ونقش عليها : "عز بعد فاقة الأمير علاقة ".
ولن ننسى مواجهة الجنوبيين للمعنيين والشهابيين والعثمانين ، ولا المقاومة العاملية بقيادة أدهم خنجر و صادق حمزة ومحمود احمد بزي للفرنسيين.
تجددت مواجهات القوى الوطنية والإسلامية، وعنفت ضد العدو الصهيوني وعملائه، فهُزموا وفروا مذعورين، وأشرقت شمس التحرير في 25-5-2000 من الجنوب ، وكان الاستقلال، فلا استقلال بلا تحرير.
وكي لا يكون الشهيد جندياً مجهولاً؛ ولا تُهمش أي تضحية قدمها فرد أو أسرة أو فصيل مقاوم ، كان هذا الكتاب، صفحات تؤرخ مقاومتنا بكل أطيافها ، وكل أذرعها وفصائلها الوطنية والإسلامية، وجداول بعمليات استشهادية وقتالية ضد العدو الصهيوني وعملائه ، من يوم قيام الكيان الصهيوني في فلسطين، حتى ملاحم عدوان صيف 2006 .
