مشاريع شقيقة شاهد في كومنز صور وملفات عن: طارق علي من رواياته في ظل شجرة الرمان (1993) يقص فيها دراما عائلية أثناء انهيار الحضارة اللإسلامية في الأندلس ومأساة المسلمين آنذاك في ظل عملية التنصير القسري الذي تعرضوا له على يد الأسبان.

هذا الكتاب هو مجموعة حوارات أجراها دايفيد بارساميان مع طارق علي بين الأعوام 2001 و2005، وتدور بشكل خاص حول الإمبراطورية الأميركية، والبريطانية، وتاريخ باكستان والهند، والمقاومة في فلسطين والعراق وأميركا اللاتينية، ونشوء الأصوليات الدينية، والبحث عن اشتراكية ديموقراطية بديلة.
ولد طارق علي عام 1943 في لاهور، التي كانت آنذاك جزءاً من الهند الواقعي تحت الحكم البريطاني ولكنها تقع اليوم في باكستان. وهو يعيش منذ عدة أعوام في لندن ويرأس تحرير نيولفت ريفيو (مجلة اليسار الجديد). له أكثر من عشرة كتب في السياسة والتاريخ... كما أن علي روائي، ومسرحي، ومنتج أفلام.
