2)وإن المشهد السياسي اليمني مشهد قلق ومرتبك، والتناقضات والصراع المجموم مهيمن على أطرافه، والقوة يوجهها العاري هي اللغة المفهومة، والمشاريع السياسية مفقودة، وما هو موجود بناءات لفظية مؤسسة على فراغ وشعارات بلا معنى، والدولة ما زالت في وعي المجتمع أداة للهيمنة والنفوذ ومحلاً للغنيمة يتحكم بها من يسيطر عليها، الصراع السياسي في اليمن فج ومباشر في أنانيته، لأنه يدور حول محور مركزي هو غنائم الدولة.
أن الديمقراطية في هذه البلاد على مستوى الواقع ليست إلا وسيلة لشرعنة مصالح القوى الفاعلة المالكة للقوة، ولعبة متفق عليها لحجب واقع النهب المنظم لحقوق الناس، ونتيجة لذلك فإن الديمقراطية لم تحل الخلافات ولم تؤسس لصراع سلمي، بل عمَقت الصراع السياسي والإجتماعي وتحولت إلى أداة لتفجير الحروب. وبدل أن تحل الأزمات وتفككها فإنها تعمق من الإشكاليات التي يواجهها الواقع. والأخطرمن ذلك أنها لم تؤدّ إلى ترسيخ القيم الجامعة، بل وسعت من الشقة بين القوى السياسية والإجتماعية. فالتحول الديمقراطي بعد الوحدة لم يسهم في تدعيم الهوية الوطنية ولم يساعد على ترسيخ الولاء الوطني، بل أدت الممارسة الديمقراطية إلى نمو التكوينات الدنيا، وتجلى الوعي القبلي بصور مذهبية ومناطقية وعرقية، ومع الوقت أفرزت عملية التحول تكوينات سياسية وعيها القبلي راسخ كالجبال.
