على هذه الصفحات يروي محمد خالد القطمة تفاصيل مؤامرة هدفها يمزق الكيان اللبناني إلى دويلات طائفية بعدما نجحت فرنسا وبريطانيا بتمزيق الأمة العربية عبر اتفاقات سيفر ولوزان ومؤامرة سايكس بيكو والتي أدت إلى إضعاف مركز القوة القومية في العرب ومهدت الطريق لقيام الدولة اليهودية، وقد توصل المؤلف لاستنتاجه هذا بعد عودته إلى كتاب الصحافي الهندي المعروف ك.كارنجيا "خنجر إسرائيل" والى لقاء جمعه به في الكويت، إذ راح يدون بعدها بعضاً من الملاحظات التي يعثر عليها في الذاكرة أو في أوراق صغيرة سجل عليها ما سمع حيث لم يجد عناء في الاقتناع بأن المخطط الإسرائيلي الذي بدأ بقيام دولة إسرائيل لن يتوقف إلا بهزيمة إسرائيل العسكرية وتفسخها العرقي، أو بانتصارها على العرب وتثبيت وجودها العرقي والديني بخلق دويلات طائفية، يصبح الوطن معها، أوطاناً يأكلها سرطان الطائفية فيلغي قوميتها أو يضيع التراث ويسقط الإنسان الذي علم الدنيا الحرف، وأقام الإمبراطوريات وشاد للبشرية حضارات وعاد لقصة كمال الكنج وكمال أبو لطيف ليروي تفاصيلها التي تؤكد بأن كمال الكنج لم ينحن أمام الإغراء والتهديد الإسرائيلي، كذلك لم ينحن كمال أبو لطيف أمام خطر السجن والمطاردة والاغتيال، لذا تعاهدا على فضح مؤامرة التقسيم وعملا من أجل الوطن حتى غاب الأول عن الدنيا بسبب التعذيب الذي لقيه في سجون الاحتلال، وذهب الثاني إلى دنياه يعيشها بحساب حين تنتظره رصاصته عند زاوية البيت أو قنبلة في سيارته، كما حدث له قبل أمد قصير، ولكنه نجا منها بأعجوبة.
