ملف يطرح، من زاوية توثيقية بحتة، ظروف نشأتها التاريخية من يوم كانت حركة روحية نسكية لاهوتية في دير البلور على العاصي، إلى يوم صارت مؤسسة مستقلة لها طقوسها الخاصة بها، مع يوحنا مارون أول بطريرك حتى آخر بطريرك، مار نصر الله بطرس صفير.
وهو ملف يعني بجميع المؤسسات الدينية والثقافية والاجتماعية التابعة لهذه الكنيسة.
على الصعيد الديني: توقف الملف أمام الهيكلية التنظيمية لهذه الكنيسة، بدءاً بالبطاركة، مروراً بالمجامع المارونية، وانتهاء بالأبرشيات وتقسيماتها الإدارية.
كما توقف الملف أمام المؤسسات الرهبانية المارونية وأديارها وكنائسها ومناسكها، وما تقوم به من خدمات روحية ورسولية في آن معاً.
وعلى الصعيد الثقافي: حرص الملف على ذكر المدارس والمؤسسات التربوية التي رعتها هذه الكنيسة، وكان لها دور فعال في تثقيف الناس وتهذيبهم، وفي إشعال روح النهضة العلمية والأدبية والعمرانية في البلاد.
وعلى الصعيد الاجتماعي: أشار الملف إلى عدد المستشفيات والمستوصفات والمياتم، ودور العجزة، والنوادي، والجمعيات الخيرية، والرسولية التي تعني بالإنسان وراحته، هناءته، وبيئته.
