تهدف هذه الدراسة الشاملة عن فلسطينيي العام 1948الذين بقوا في أرضهم بعد إنشاء الكيان الصهيوني، وتعرضوا- وما يزالون إلى مختلف الممارسات العنصرية من أجل دمجهم في هذا الكيان أو ترحيلهم عنه بالقوة إذا سنحت الظروف، من دون أن يتمكن قادة العدو في تحقيق أي من الهدفين المذكورين حتى الآن.
أن الوقائع التاريخية تثبت أن "عرب الداخل" قد حافظوا على هويتهم العربية الإسلامية رغم كل المؤامرات التي حكيت ضدهم، والظروف بالغة الصعوبة التي أحاطت بهم، مع الاعتراف بأن إسرائيل قد حققت بعض النجاح في "اختراق فلسطينيي 1948" على بعض الصعد والمستويات، الحساسية والاجتماعية حتى الثقافية، والتي بقيت في المحصّلة ظواهر مؤقتة أو قهرية لا يمكن لليهود أن يبنوا عليها طموحات كبيرة.
لقد تناولت هذه الدراسة كل الجوانب السياسية والفكرية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية المتعلقة بالفلسطينيين في أراضي 1948، منذ ما قبل إنشاء الكيان الغاصب، وصولاً إلى دورهم في رمز انتفاضات الشعب الفلسطيني في أراضي الضفة العربية وقطاع غزة المتعاقبة منذ العام 1967 وحتى انتفاضة الأقصى المبارك الأخيرة.
أما خلاصة الدراسة فتدعو إلى مزيد من توثيق الصلات والروابط مع هؤلاء الفلسطينيين الذين صمدوا في أرضهم ولم يغادروها، من أجل تفعيل طاقاتهم وقدراتهم السياسية والمادية، على طريق دحر الاحتلال الصهيوني عن كل الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة.
