إن الصلاة صلة بين العبد وربه، وخير موضوع، وهي نور ونجاة يوم القيامة.
ومن رحمته تعالى بعباده وحكمته أن شرع لهم - مع الفرائض - التطوع ونوافل العبادات زيادة وقربة، ومفزعاً عند الهم والكربة.
ومن الصلوات النوافل التي جاءت بها السنن والآثار مفزعاً إلى العزيز الغفار، عند حدوث الآيات العظام (صلاة الآيات).
وقد اختلف أهل اعلم في مشروعيتها وحكمها وصفتها بسبب إختلافهم في حال الأحاديث والآثار في هذا الباب، وعلق الإمام الشافعي القول بها على صحة الأثر فيها - كما سيأتي -.
فرغبت أن أجمع في هذا البحث الأحاديث والآثار الواردة في هذا الموضوع، وأبين حالها من حيث القبول والرد وفق قواعد أئمة الجرح والتعديل، وكذا أقوال العلماء ومذاهبهم فيها.
وتتلخص أهمية هذا الموضوع وأسباب اختياره فيما يأتي: 1-أن كثيراً من الفقهاء يشيرون إلى هذه الصلاة إشارة لطيفة ضمن باب صلاة الكسوف، ولا يفصلون القول فيها، ولذا خفيت هذه الصلاة فضلاً عن تفاصيل أحكامها على كثير من العامة، 2-جمع ما تفرق من الأحاديث والآثار في هذه الصلاة ولم شملها، والوقوف على حالها من حيث القبول والرد، لتكون في متناول أهل العلم وطلبته، 3-أن الإمام الشافعي علق القول بها على صحة الأثر الوارد فيها، فالعلم بحال الآثار الواردة فيها مفيد في تحقيق مذهب الإمام الشافعي، 4-عدم وقوفي على تصنيف مفرد في هذا الموضوع يجمع الأحاديث والآثار، وأقوال أهل العلم ومذاهبهم.
ويضاف إلى ذلك ما نشاهده ونسعمه في هذا العصر من وقت لآخر من حدوث الزلازل والآيات التي يخوف الله تعالى بها عباده، فيحتاج المؤمن إلى معرفة حكم هذه الصلاة وصفتها.
