في هذه الكتاب، أطرح تجربتي في المقاومة والاعتقال وها إني أعود اليوم إلى أيام الطفولة، إلى عشية ثورتي الأولى محكوماً أكثر بالأمل والحلم، مدفوعاً بالنصر الناجز في 25 أيار 2000، ومفعماً بروح الثقة بانتصارات لاحقة بعد ليالي الأسى الطويلة التي قضيتها في الزنازين وأقبية التعذيب، متكئاً على تجربتي وتجارب الآخرين ومسكوناً بهاجس الأمة والوطن، وعيني مصوبة نحو جنوب الجنوب وذاكرتي التي لم تتعرّض للثقوب أبداً حيث ما زلت أذكر تلك الرصاصة الأولى المطلي رأسها بالأحمر، وأرغفة الخبز المرقوق، ووعاء الماء، ووجه أول شهيد كان رفيقي وشفتيه المعفّرتان بتراب الأرض حيث تعرف على أطهر قبلة طبعها ذاك الشهيد على حبات التراب المشتركة عند الحدود بين لبنان وفلسطين المحتلة، وما زلت أذكر تلك الأفعى السوداء مقطوعة الرأس، والأفعى الأخرى التي ما زال رأسها في فلسطين وذنبها في البيت الأبيض... مؤمناً بالثبات والصبر، منتظراً صدور الحكم علينا.. بكامل النصر.. بلا قيد.. بلا شرط.
