وفي هذا الديوان نصوص شعرية يرى فيها "دخيل الخليفة" الإنسان بمنظور أوسع وأشمل يقوم على وحدة الحالة الشعورية يسوقها في نصوص مفتوحة ومتعددة المستويات والطبقات يقحم فيها أغوار النفس البشرية، يضيء بقصائده دروب من ظلّو وطعم الذكريات يضح به: "يا عاشق الرمل الذي لم يحتمل قدميك.. لحظة خطوها، صبر جميل"... عذراً لهذا البحر، شاطئه بدا وطناً من الفوضى، من الأحزان، بل عذراً إليك حمامة غجرية، ما عاد يعزينا الهديل".
