في هذه المجموعة يرسم دخيل الخليفة بورتريه ملون، ولكنه غير مزخرف، يحاكي به هموم الإنسان في كل مكان وزمان. وخاصة فئة المهمشين الذين فراشهم ولحافهم السماء.. إنه العالم الذي يحمل النقيضين "الثراء الفاحش" و"الفقر المدقع" وهي تلميحات تعكس آلام الغربة التي يتجرعها "البدون" بشكل يومي، وإن لم تصرح القصائد من هذا الهم بشكل مباشر، إلا أن الشاعر استطاع أن يكون صوتاً للذين لا صوت لهم.
ففي قصيدة (خارج القانون) هنالك خوف من شيء لا ندركه بسهولة، لكنه يشف باقتدار هائل عن الظرف العربي اليوم، وعن تكميم الأفواه يقول: الضحكة الوحيدة الخارجة على القانون/ نسيتها أمس على حافة الليل/ هذا الصباح/ صحوت بلا فم..!
وفي قصيدة (شارع): وحده يسهر/ بانتظار أقدام/ تصفعه كل صباح. وفي قصيدة (ظلان في مساء أملس) تتعالى الرغبة في الاختباء والهروب حتى في حالات العشق والهوى: تعالى نختبئ بخوفك المربك/ نختبئ من ظلينا/ نعبر عالماً لا يكفي لهروب عاشق نزق/ هذه الخرائط مجرد خرافة لا أكثر..
توزع الديوان على (86) قصيدة قصيرة، عالج من خلالها الشاعر قضايا الهوية والحب وهموم إنسانية أخرى، والقصائد كتبت في الأعوام من 2006 الى 2008 ومعظمها نشرت في صحف محلية وعربية وبينها نصوص لم تنشر من قبل...
