حَسْبُ أنور سلمان أنّه شاعرٌ لبناني، دخل شغافَ القلوب، فلا يُغيّبُه ردىً أو تَصْرَعه منون... تخطّى الموتَ قيامةً، وخلّى الذهابَ إياباً... حتى نلتقي!...
عندما أجلسُ لأسود بكلماتي صفحة بيضاء... تتحوَّلُ يدي إلى حماية تريدُ أن تطير، وقلمي إلى غُصنِ زيتونِ أخضر!...
فأنا أبحث عن الكلمات التي تُصاغُ بأحرفِ من نُجوم... لا عن تلك التي تكتبُ بقطراتِ من الدّمِاء.
فإذا كتبتُ عن الوطن... فهو واحةُ سلامٍ وحُبّ.
وإذا كتبتُ عن الإنسان... فهو صوتُ الحق والخير والجمال، ومسيرةُ العطاء التي تنتهي بالإبداع!...
ولأني لا أريدُ بلادي صديقة للحُلْمَ من دون الحقيقة، ولا رفيقة للحرّية من دون الكرامة...
يبقى لي أن أحْملها على جُفوني رايةً مُنتصرة، وأزرع كلماتي في ترابها وأمضي!...
فَحَسْبي أن يُقالِ عنِّي يوماً: أنِّي في زمن الطغيانِ الذي أخرقَ الأوطان بالنّار... خبَّأتُ بلادي... وردةً في كِتابْ...
