الشعر نخزن ثقافات العالم، يدخر ذاكرتها، يترجم ابتكاراتها، ويفيض بإبداعاتها، وكونه أحد أبرز الفنون، كان لا بد من أن يستأثر بسائر الدراسات، نقداً وتحليلاً وتقييماً.
من هنا كان كتابنا هذا، واحداً من تلك الدراسات التي تتناول الشعر، وتسعى للانطلاق من داخل النص الشعري: تدرسه، تحلله وتنقده، ثم تعود إليه.
اقترح مؤلفنا في كتابه هذا الاعتناء بمجال تداخل القصيدة مع الفنون التشكيلية، والإحاطة بالمستويات المختلفة لذلك التداخل، وقد كان المنجز الشعري العراقي، عبر مراحله المختلفة، مادة دراسته.
لذا كان لزاماً عليه أن يفرد فصلاً كاملاً للإحاطة بالمستويات المختلفة للتداخل في مجال الفن التشكيلي. وكان لزاماً عليه أيضاً أن يفرد فصلاً كاملاً لمجال السرد لتعدد عناصره من جهة وانتشار مظاهره على عموم المنجز الشعري العراقي من جهة أخرى عبر مراحله المختلفة وبكثرة لا يدانيه فيها أي نوع من أنواع التداخل، وحيث اهتم الفصل الأول بنا هو بصري واهتم الفصل الثاني بما هو بنائي لغوي، كان لزاماً عليه أن يجمع في الفصل الثالث ما هو تركيبي-لغوي وما هو سمعي وما هو بصري.
أما ما يتعلق بالسينما فيرى الباحث أنها أفادت من الشعر أكثر مما أفاد منها وهي من أقل المجالات تداخلاً في القصيدة، وقد قدم لهذه الفصول الثلاثة بتمهيد موجز أثلا من خلاله عدداً من القضايا التي تهم موضوعة التداخل وأعقبها بخاتمة مركزة أقرب إلى الخلاصة الاستنتاجية للبحث، وبعد قائمة المصادر والمراجع أضاف ملحقاً بالصورة التي كانت جزءاً من مفردات البحث وخاصة في الفصل الأول مما رآه ضرورياً ومفيداً للبحث.
ولعل وفاءه للمنهج الأكاديمي في دراسته، كونها في الأساس أطروحة ماجيستير، يسر له الإحاطة بسائر جوانب المسألة، وجعلها حقاً، تليق بالتنويه.
