وهكذا جاء الديوان امتداد لقضايا إنسانية راهنة يصبح الشعر معها وسيلة لفهم العالم ومعاناة البشر وتضميد جراحهم، فالشاعر الفلسطيني يجيد الإبداع لأنه يحمل بين ضلوعه جراحات العرب (فلسطين –لبنان- العراق) وغيرها من دول سائرة على طريق الحرية...
تحت عنوان حقيبة لاجئ يقول الشاعر: حزم الأحبة بالحقائب موطني/ وحزمت دمعي فوقهم وذراعي (...)/ ورأيت كل بلادنا محمولة/ بحقيبة تجري بغير شراع..."
يضم الديوان ثلاثون قصيدة نذكر من عناوينها: ستون عاماً، قولوا ليافا!، هل عرف؟!، يا أمي، مطر.. في فصل الحب، الشرق الرفيع، سأعود!...الخ.
