اصبحت القيادة الادارية من العلوم الاكاديمية، والتي لها اصولها النظرية والتطبيقية. كما ان اتساع مجالات الدولة ونشاطها، جعل معرفة طبيعة القيادة والادارة ومجالاتهما امرا ضروريا، لتساعدنا على علاج المعضلات العصرية التي تواجه البشرية والمجتمع، حيث ان الدولة الحديثة يجب ان تنظر الى المستقبل دون الاكتفاء بمعرفة الحاضر، ومن جميع النواحي الاقتصادية والسياسية والمالية والادارية والتربوية. ومن هنا تظهر اهمية الادارة ودور القيادة فيها كاداة تنقيذية مهمة للمجتمع الذي نعيش فيه. حيث ان الادارة تتوقف كثيرا على السياسة العامة للدولة ولا يمكن الخروج او الحياد عنها، مع الاخذ بعين الاعتبار الوضع الاقتصادي والاجتماعي العام للمجتمع، حيث ان الادارة الحديثة تلعب دورا كبيرا في ارساء قواعد مجتمع اقتصادي متين مع زيادة الانتاج وتحسين دخل الفرد وبالتالي تحسين العلاقات الاجتماعية. كما يجب ان نفهم ان طبيعة الادارة لا تكون ثابتة وانما على استعداد دائم لمواجهة الظروف والمتغيرات وحسب معطيات الحوادث، فبواسطة الادارة يمكن ان نجمع المعلومات المبعثرة والمنعزلة عن بعضها لاقامة علاقات مترابطة فيما بينها تساعدنا على معالجة المشاكل العاجلة والمستقبلية. ومن الملاحظ في عصرنا الحالي ان نجاح المؤسسة التربوية بدءا بالمدرسة في اداء مهماتها، يتوقف الى حد كبير على قدرة تفعيل ادارتها وقدرتها على توجيه العملية التربوية نحو الاهداف المرسومة لها، كما ان نجاح الادارة- هو الاخر- يعتمد على ما يمتلكه الاداري من قدرات ومهارات، وما يتصف به من صفات ومميزات وما يعرفه من معارف ومعلومات تتعلق بهذا الميدان. وفي النهاية فان هذا الكتاب يتناول القيادة الادارية ( التربوية والتعليمية ) والاشراف التربوي في المؤسسات التعليمية من جوانب عدة بهدف الاسهام في تعزيز وتدعيم هذا المفهوم وتبسيطه وتسليط الضوء عليه وتقديمه كمادة علمية ومعرفية، من اجل هضمه وتحويله الى واقع عمل ميداني وممارسة حياتية يومية لوظيفة الادارة والقيادة في مفاصل وقنوات العمل والمسيرة التربوية واداء مهامها ومسؤولياتها التربوية والتعليمية المتعددة.
