في هذا الكتاب (أساليب الشعرية عند بدوي الجبل)، سعينا إلى توطيد بعض المصطلحات النقدية الجديدة في دراسة النص الشعري عند بدوي الجبل، معتمدين على قصائده المقطعية الطويلة لتكون حقلاً خصباً لتطبيق هذه المصطلحات؛ نظراً إلى ما تمتاز به أشعار هذا الشاعر من قوة خيال، وجمال تصوير، وإيقاع موسيقي عذب يناسب الموضوعات التي ينظم فيها قصائده، حتى لتكاد قصائده من ناحية الصورة والإيقاع تفوق أكبر شعراء الكلاسيكية في الوطن العربي من القرن الماضي عمقاً وقيمة؛ كأحمد شوقي مثلاً؛ نظراً إلى نضج قصائده وتكاملها على المستويات الأسلوبية والتعبيرية والتشكيلية كلها.
