شرح هذا الكتاب نصوص قانون الأحوال الشخصية وبين الأحكام الواردة فيه وشروط تطبيقه وأشار الكتاب في هذه الدراسه الى المذهب الذي استمد منه كل نص ولم يغفل عن آراء الفقهاء فعرض بعض الآراء في المسائل التي تتطلب ذلك، ومن هنا فقد تضمن الكتاب ثلاث أبواب بدأها بتمهيد عن مقدمات الزواج والخطبه ثم الباب الأول ويتناول التعريف بالزواج وأركان عقد الزواج وشروطه وولاية الزواج كما بين أنواع الزواج والمحرمات من النساء ثم تطرق في الباب الثاني لحقوق الزوجة وحقوق الزوج والحقوق المشتركة بينهما أما الباب الثالث فكان لإنحلال عقد الزواج بالفسخ والطلاق والمخالفه والتفريق القضائي والعدة الباب الرابع تناول فيه حقوق الصغار وهي والنسب والرضاع والحضانه ونفقه الأقارب وقد كان الدافع وراء هذا الكتاب حاجة القضاء الشرعيين الى شرح وافي لأحكام القانون.
