على الرغم مما قيل عن مسرح اللامعقول وكيف إنه مجاف للعقل والمنطق، وإنه لا يصور إلا عبث وضياع الإنسان، فإنه استطاع أن يبرز المعاناة والعزلة التي يعيشها الإنسان، وكيف إنه يعيش في مجتمع لا يكترث لأحلامه ومعاناته ومشكلاته، ولا حتى من يسمع إليه؛ لذلك أصبح العالم مخيف وقاس في نظره، فعبر الكتاب عن الضياع بهذه الطريقة الجنونية التي لا معنى لها، حتى تنبه الآخرين بحالهم علهم يدركون وينهضوا من سباتهم.
وأثبت في البحث بأن مسرح اللامعقول عند العرب إنما ظهر نتيجة للتأثير الغربي فخصائص اللامعقول الغربي وإن لم تظهر كلها على المسرح العربي إلا إنه ظهر بعض خصائصها وهذا لا ينفي كونها من مسرح اللامعقول، فمسرح اللامعقول ليس إتجاه واحد أو مدرسة، وإنما لكل كاتب خصائصه التي تميزه عن غيره، لذلك، كان تأثر المسرح العربي بالكتّاب الغرب جميعاً.
توصل الكتاب أيضاً بأن مسرح اللامعقول قد توقف عند الغرب والعرب أيضاً، لأننا في حاجة إلى ما يعالج مشاكلنا بطريقة أبسط تفهمها جميع المستويات دون الحاجة إلى التعقيد الذي ظهر في مسرح اللامعقول، ونتيجة لهذا السبب وغيره من الأسباب التي أُوردتْ في البحث، توقف الكتاب عن الكتابة في هذا المسرح لأنهم أدركوا ذلك، وكيف إن مسرح اللامعقول كان موجة عابرة نتيجة لظروف معينة فقط.
