ونظراً لما يمثله هذا الأمر من أهمية تصل بالتجديد على مستوى النص المسرحي العالمي، ولما تمخض عنه أيضاً من تأثيرات على المسرحية العربية المعاصرة التي أخذ البعض من كتابها يحذو حذو الكتاب الغربيين في تقديم نصوص اعتمدوا فيها تطبيقات مسرح اللامعقول، وبفعل عدم توفر دراسات معمقة تستشف مدى قيمة وأهمية هذه التطبيقات في المسرحية العربية المعاصرة او تسلط الضوء بشكل كاشف عليها، لذا فقد وجدنا ضرورة الخوض بهذه الدراسة في محاولة لتأسيس فهم واضح لتلك التطبيقات، ومدى الإفادة التي حققتها المسرحية العربية المعاصرة في هذا الجانب.
