يستعرض هذا الكتاب الرحلة الملوكية من مكة المكرمة الى عمان والتي قام بها المغفور له الشريف الحسين بن علي في الفترة ما بين 19 كانون الثاني- 7 اذار 1924م. والبيعة الكبرى بالخلافة والوفود والبرقيات والعرائض والخطابات كما ورد في جريدة "الشرق العربي". وقد جاءت برقية نائب وكلاء الحكومة العربية وقاضي القضاة ومفتي مكة المكرمة المرحوم الشيخ عبد الله سراج تاكيداً واضحاً لمشاعر الامة حيث قال: ... قد بايعت جلالتكم في 9 محرم 1335هـ وقبلت البيعة من العموم باسم جلالتكم في ذلك اليوم. فقد بايعنا مع تاكيد تلك البيعة، اهل الحل والعقد، وعموم الاهالي بطلبهم، ثم وفود بيت الله المعظم.... فاقدم لاعتابكم التهاني والتبريك بما احرزه صاحب الخلافة العظمى من ثقة الشعب العربي خصوصاً والعالم الاسلامي عموماً بالتفافه حول بيت النبوة.
