قامت الثورة العربية الكبرى بقيادة "الحسين بن علي" وأنجاله الغر الميامين "عبد الله بن الحسين" "فيصل بن الحسين" "غازي بن فيصل" هذه الثورة التي حمل رايتها جاءت تهذيباً للقناعة في ذهن الفقير برفع مستوى عيشه وإصلاح فساد ذوقه، ولتخلق الحاجة في نفس الغني بتشويقه إلى الكمال المطلق وترغيبه في المثل الأعلى، قال القدر الإلهي كلمته في كل حادث من حوادث الثورة، وأعلن مشيئته في كل أمر. فجاءت القارعة التي تهتك حجب الإسماع وأغشية الابصار، وغلف الأفئدة، فإذا زعيم الثورة وقائدها ينتهي به الجهاد مسجى في ضريح بجوار المسجد الأقصى، وإذا فلذات كبده يتساقطون واحدهم تلو الآخر على درب الشهادة في سبيل رسالة ورثوها عن والدهم؛ قوامها الأمة وأصولها الوطن. وانطلاقاً من هنا يحاول المؤلف في كتابه هذا أن يلقي الضوء على مسيرة هؤلاء الشهداء في الجهاد ليكتب حياتهم، مسيرتهم، كفاحهم واستشهادهم في سبيل بقاء الأمة ورفع راية الدين الإسلامي.
