لما كان الدين هو وثيقة احتلال الأرض وإلغاء الوطن. وبتعبير آخر لما كان الدين هو السبب المباشر في إنشاء دولة إسرائيل، وكان الحجة الوحيدة لوجودها في أرض فلسطين، وبالتالي فإذا كان احتلال اليهود لهذه الأرض هو مسألة نصوص دينية، لذا كان لا بد من تحليل وتفنيد ومحاكمة لهذه النصوص.
في هذا الإطار يأتي هذا الكتاب الذي يضم بحثاً طريفاً، لعل الكاتب لم يُسبق إليه، موضوعه الفهم أو التفهم أو المفهوم الذي يتبناه ما يزيد على النصف من سكان الأرض، للقوة العالية التي يطلقون عليها اسم الله أو الرب أو يهوه، ولروحه التي تجسدت، باعتقادهم طبعاً، في شخص يسوع الناصري الملقب بالمسيح أو بابن الله.
وهذا البحث، لخطورته ودقة موضوعه، لا يتقبله إلا الإنسان المستنير الواعي، والعاقل الذي يعمد إلى معتقداته الموروثة، فيمحص أسسها ويفحص مفاهيمها ويتشرف أهدافها، كشرط أساسي لقبولها. ويلتفت إلى النصوص المقدسة التي تُلتَمسُ لتبرير الاستيلاء على أرض فلسطين، والتوسع في أراضي سوريا الطبيعية، ولتبرير مذابح الدولة العبرية وإرهابها، فيخضعها للنقد الموضوعي ويحاكمها، في سبيل الحقيقة والحق.
