رواية غير مسالمة رغم رقّة أسلوبها.. تبدو للوهلةِ الأولى وكأنَّها تتحدَّثُ عن أحلامِ طبيبٍ عائدٍ إلى وطنه لبنان، تُفترسُ أحلامه دفعة واحدة بأنياب الواقع إثر الاجتياح الإسرائيلي للبنان عام 1982، الذي فتك بكل شيء.. ينجو بعلاقة صداقة مع طبيب من منطقته، وبقصة حب عاصف مع عازفة بيانو ليست من دينه. لكن الرواية للوهلة الثانية تعترف بأنها تعكس لبنان الحقيقي.. تطلقُه كما هو بأرضه وشعبه ومرتاديه الكثيرين. تكشف سرّ هذا "اللبنان"، محط الأنظار، والمجتذب للقاصي والداني من سكان الأرض. كُتبَتْ لتختبرَ إنسانية الإنسان في الحرب والسلم، انتماءاته وتقلُّبها، مشاعره، نقاط قوته وضعفه، أحلامه، مدى صلاحيته للحب.. للحياة.. للموت! وقُدِّمت لتكون مرافعة مؤثِّرة من أجل السلام، وعبرةً باتَ ملحّاً الاعتبار بها، في زمنٍ عادت فيه طبول الحرب تُقرع من جديد.
محمد طعّان لبناني مقيم في أفريقيا، وهو جرّاح ممتهن وكاتب باللغة الفرنسية. ألّف أربعة سيناريوهات سينمائية. وله ثماني روايات، رُشِّحت اثنتان منها لجوائزعديدة منها: "جائزة المتوسط"، و"فرانس ليبان" و"جائزة القدس"، كما حازت روايتة "خواجا" على جائزة "ميديك" (MÉDÉC).
