للصمت عنده ألف معنى ولون.. فصمته أبلغ من الكلام.. وهمسه لهيب حنان.. وكلامه ألحان شجن وعنفوان.. وحديثه عبقرية ناضجة تضخ ما كان يعانيه.. ولم تكن معاناته منفردة يوماً ما.. فقد انصهر البياتي بمن حوله.. انصهر مع تجارب قومه المشهورين ومع آلام المعذبين, ونداء المظلومين والمضطهدين.. وجوع اليتامى المشردين. ألبسته موهبة ثوب الوقار منذ نعومة أظافره, فشب متميزاً بين أترابه في بلده العراق اختطفته الغرب من وطنه باكراً, لكنها لم تستطع اختطاف الوطن من شرايين قلبه الذي احتله الوطن وأهل الوطن الشرفاء.. والذي لم يزل ينبض باسم وحب الوطن العراق. ففي كل مرفأ نرسو معه على بعض التفاصيل ونغوص أكثر في أعماقه السامية المفعمة بالرقة والتواضع ونسيان الذات ليشكل لنا بانوراما كونية تنطلق من الذات المحدود الى الكل اللامحدود.. وهذه هي حقيقة البياتي. إن قراءة تلك السيرة الذاتية ما هي إلا ترجمة لمسار الشموس عبر أقنيتها المضاءة بعصارة عبقري خبر الحياة وتلاطم مع الأحداث بكل جرأة وأناة وحكمة. وإحياء للتراث العربي.
