لقد ذكر السيد "صادق الحسيني الشيرازي" في لقاءاته وحواراته، وفي محاضرته، وفي محاضراته وكلماته وإرشاداته وتوجيهاته لمختلف الزوّار، روايات وأحاديث وقصص وخواطر وتجارب واقعية عن أناس من شتى طبقات المجتمع الإسلامي وغيره.
هذه القصص والتجارب قسم منها عاصرها سماحته بنفسه، وقسم منها نقلت إليه عبر والده السيد "مهدي الحسيني الشيرازي"، وعبر أصحابها أو المنتسبين إليهم أو زملائهم أو أصدقائهم، وقسم منها موجود في كتب الروايات الشريفة والتاريخ، وإنطلاقاً من آيات القرآن الكريم وأحاديث المعصومين الأربعة عشر التي تؤكّد ضرورة الإعتبار من حياة الماضين، ونظراً لما في هذه القصص والتجارب من العبر والمواعظ والتذكرة وإرتباطها بواقع الحياة.
قام المؤلف بجمع هذه القصص والتجارب، وقد ألحق مع كل رواية وقصة - إما قبلها أو بعدها - تعليقات سماحته وتعقيباته وتوضيحاته ليتّضح للقارئ الفائدة والعبرة، بنحو جيّد وأكثر، وذكر أيضاً مع كل قصّة، في الهامش - تاريخ رواية سماحته للقصّة، والحضور الذين استمعوا إليها.
