ترتكز رواية "غرام مع حبيب سابق" لروائية هيام التوم الريّس على الدوران في فلك البحث عن المنسي الذي طُمر في ثنايا الذاكرة، أو عن مجموعة الأحلام الجميلة المجهضة، التي تشكل البؤرة الأساس للمتخيل الروائي، حيث الإستدعاء لما علق بأقاصي الذاكرة عن حب مات قبل أن يولد، وها هو يعود بعد طول انتظار "وسمح لتلك الـ "ألو" أن تولد بعد طول انتظار" انتظار دام خمسة عشر عاماً في حياة البطلة، التي بدأت تختلط كل أوراق حياتها، من جديد !!
في الخطاب الروائي تتجه هيام التوم الريّس إلى التركيز على الزمن الداخلي (الإرتجاع / الزمن النفسي) للشخصية، فيجيء عرض الأحداث مرة بموضوعية، وأخرى من وجهة نظر ذاتية خاصة بالكاتبة / الأنثى. ويدل هذا على مدى حميمية التفاعل الوطيد بين الروائية وبطلتها كشخصية رواتية متخيلة، تُستحضر في الرواية لتعبر عن طبيعة علاقة الرجل بالمرأة بصفتها مفهوماً نقدياً وإبداعياً عاماً تقدمها الكاتبة في إطار حساسية فنية جديدة.
من عوالم الرواية نقرأ:
" ... تلك الـ "ألو" المولودة ولادة قيصرية، من رحم خذلان زوجي مزمن، قلتها بنغمة دقات قلبي المتسارعة وبنبض، يكاد يقفز بقلبي خارج صدري .. ربما لأنني أعرف سلفاً، أنني أفتح على نفسي أبواب جنة أو جحيم، لا يهم، المهم هو الخروج من المطهر ... "ألو" مغامرة، ثائرة، لا تخلو من كيد النساء، مفتوحة على ألف احتمال، كأن يقفل الخط المقابل ويقفل معه باب المغامرة أو يرحب فيفتح باب الخيانة ... "ألو" مدججة بالحنان، محملة بالشوق، ملفوفة بالرغبة، قابلها على الخط الآخر صوتك متفاجئاً، متردداً، عاتباً مجروحاً ومنتظراً ...".
