اللغة كما للأمكنة سرها الذي تبوح به في ساعة وجد. واللغة كأي كائن ينمو ويغتذي من نسغ التجربة الإنسانية. ولعل وحي اللغة تنبئ بما تختزنه لغة الشاعر من طاقات وانعكاسات لرؤاه الموغلة في المكان والزمان. حيث يعبر عن موقف الإنسان المكبل بالتاريخ فيقول: "جسده ألف تاريخ، سهله جبال، من خاتم شعر، من بائع أحلام، مرتاح تعباً، ينبض في الأقوات".
ولأن الشاعر صدى لتجارب مجتمعه وأقرانه وصوت لمعاناتهم وأنينهم، وإن تجربة الحرب الأهلية بكل مرارتها وعناصرها تظل شاخصة في قصائد حس عجمي التي تكتسب حيويتها من نبض التجربة الحية المعاشة لحظة بلحظة. وتبلغ التجربة مداها حين ترتطم الأحاسيس بغلاظة الواقع وصلابة الحقيقة: "ليل تغرب في نهار، صدى أجسادٍ، تقع من شرفة حلم، يختبئ وجهاً ليدي، ليل شموس، أظلمت نوراً، يعتلي السلم، قارعاً بين وجوه أمي وأبي، وأختي وأخي..".
من وحي اللغة عمل ينطوي على مغامرة قوامها الحرف والكلمة، حيث يتجسد التشظي الذي يعاني منه الإنسان الراهن.
