يقدِّم الكتاب المضامين الأساسية للفلسفة الإنسانوية التي تؤكّد على وحدة الحضارات والثقافات والأديان والبشر. ويعتمد المؤلّف حسن عجمي على منهجية تحليلية جديدة في طرح نظرياته فيعرِّف المفاهيم والظواهر كالعقل واللغة والعلم على أنها قرارات إنسانوية مستقبلية معتمدة في تكوّنها على الإنسان ما يحرّر الفرد من الماضوية ويضمن استمرارية البحث المعرفي والعلمي. تهدف أبحاث هذا الكتاب إلى التوحيد بين المذاهب الفلسفية المتصارعة وإيضاح الفضائل المعرفية للنظريات المقترحة. كما يحتوي الكتاب على مصطلحات جديدة يشرحها المؤلّف فلسفياً كالعلمنالوجيا أي (علم العلمنة) الهادفة إلى علمنة الظواهر والعقلنالوجيا أي (علم العقلنة) الهادفة إلى عقلنة الظواهر كافة.
